can't retrieve my old purchases (on my stolen computer) on my new one even though i logged in with Adobe ID

    you need to download the acsm file again and authorize with your adobe id.

    i don't think i could do that, given that the acsm files were in my stolen computer, and it's now impossible to download them again. i thought Digital Editions had some sort of way of storing the information about the purchases, but i guess i was overrating it. My bad.
