How do I authorize Adobe Digital Editions with my kobo aura e-reader?

If I am understanding this correctly, just open ADE and plug in your Kobo. On the left side it will show your Kobo. Click your Kobo, and then on the little gear symbol immediately above it click that and there will be an option that says "Authorize this device".

I did that but when I click on the book on my Kobo, I get the following error message:

Oops! This document couldn't be opened.

This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again. www.kobo.com/help

I have same probem. I have authorized , desauthorized and authorized again and same problem.

I contacted kobo and theydont have any solution.

I have a pc ( windows 7) and I have AED version 4
