Nook Device isn't showing up in Digital Editions to transfer a book

I am having trouble transferring a borrowed library Ebook onto my Nook Device.  I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions to upload the Library EBook.  When I plug my Nook in, it does not show up as a Device in the Digital Editions, so I cannot transfer the book onto the Nook.  How do you get Borrowed library E books onto the Nook to Read?!  Thank you for the Help!  New to the EReaders

Check out the Nook instructions at

NOOK GlowLight Plus | FAQ - Barnes & Noble

and scroll down to Step 2.  This worked for me - just not as simple as the drag and drop with my old Nook.

Instructions that come with the new Nook do not mention this for free library books.  Guess they want you to buy Barnes and Noble.

Good luck.

The order of plugging in your nook and opening ADE matters, I've found.  Try both options for which you do first.  One should work.  (Sorry, I can't remember which to do first.)
