Problem copying books borrowed from the library to ereader

I have downloaded an ebook from my public library into ADE on my Windows 7 computer. When I drag the book to the ereader bookshelf I get a message saying Threat Warning - CE Copy Not Allowed -no permission to copy the book. How do I fix this?
