Specific epubs keep crashing ADE 4.0 on OSX. How can I resolve this?

I've been downloading epubs from my local library's overdrive site. Some open fine in ADE4.0, others consistently crash it. These same epubs open without any problem in Overdrive on iOS- it's just ADE 4.0 that keeps crashing.

    Some of the crashes have been fixed in this release.

    still crashing / hanging on downloading .epub files.
