Trying to change password. Changed it successfully, but still won't let me sign on. Says incorrect password

I Am trying to download an ebook to my new iPad mini.  I already had an account for my ipad2 but forgot the pw. I successfully changed the pw, but it still won't let me sign on. Says incorrect pw. Ultimately I would like all 3 of my devices (iPhone) linked to the one account. I have "chatted" twice with Adobe. They referred me to this site. help!!!!
