Adobe Application Manager (and upgrading to Catalina)
So with OS X Catalina 10.15.2 on its way and also the fact that Adobe says the CC 2020 set is Catalina compatible, I am a bit confused on what to do with the fact that even with the most updated software, Adobe Application Manager -- AAM -- is still 32-bit. From what I read, it sounds like it is still pretty embeded in the running of CC in terms of licence management and installing.
Clearly people are using Creative Cloud now on Catalina, but I am wondering about the update process as it relates to this wrinkle with AAM. I only have installed the most uptodate Createive Cloud.
I read everything in this other thread (https://community.adobe.com/t5/get-started/64-bit-catalina-upgrade/td-p/10634196 and https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/fix-macos-64-bit-compatibility-errors.html), but neither gave a clear answer with respect to AAM.
That said, my direct question is:
1) What is up with this?
2) How do I safely update from Mojave to Catalina? (or is CC even ready for updating)
- Do I have to completely clearn uninstall CC and adobe before update, and then reinstall?
Thank you!
