Adobe CC background tasks always open at Start-Up. Invasive and creepy

I have unchecked to start at launch in the CC client and on my computer, I have the OS notifications off as well.  Why at start-up and randomly during operations do about 8 Adobe CC background tasks open up and take memory and CPU usage.  I end them instantly every time.  I have measured the start up time of programs when the bg tasks are up and not up and they are indistinguishable.  What's the deal?
