Adobe ID Password Update

Hello, 

 

Today my Adobe products like the CC Desktop App required a Password Update; I couldn't proceed with any work or even log into these forums to ask about it until I'd updated my Adobe ID password. I'm wondering why I was asked to do that--I've used the Creative Cloud for 5 years now and it's never prompted me to update the password before.

 

Is this normal? What was the reason?

    Good morning, Fox_Hill_Photo.An acquaintance was similarly prompted to update their AdobeID password.In the past, it seems that restrictions on characters that can be set relatively up to 6 digits were also relaxed. Perhaps you are trying to unify the current standards from the perspective of strengthening security.

    I chatted with an Adobe agent and he said it was for security reasons. I asked if this was a normal Adobe security update and he said yes.

     

    Didn't really explain why, but as long as there's not a problem I guess it's OK.
