Adobe Tutorials

I was just told by an Adobe Customer Service Rep that "Adobe doesn't have a training team for teaching about the products". This comment followed my questioning regarding the complexity and length of a Beginner's tutorial posted for Premiere Pro under Learn  and  Support on Adobe's website. I had suggested he pass my comments onto whoever oversaw the tutorials. Apparently no one does. Really...no one is minding the training. I just refuse to believe that.

I understand doing tutorials is not easy and doing them for users that come from a wide range of experience is huge challenge. I teach in higher education so believe me I understand. I'm not really sure what I expect to gain by posting this here in the forum but perhaps someone here is aware of channels that are available regarding teaching the software.

I was very optimistic about Adobe's tutorials because they had seemed to have finally got it right. They were short, topic speciifc and very easy to follow. I started referring them to my students as a great resource. But the tutorial I just used for a Beginner in Premiere Pro took me right back to lynda.com. lynda.com has some of the most complicated and lengthy tutorials I've ever used. None of my colleagues refer students to lynda. I should mention I teach at a private art and design college where students earn a BFA degree.

I hope this Premiere Pro tutorial is a fluke and not the norm.

I would appreciate any recommendations you might have for good tutorials on Premiere Pro, especially for those who have never used it.

I also apologize in advance if I've offended anyone here on the forum.

Thx-

Candace Lavin

While Adobe may not directly employ trainers , there are many commercial training companies who help Adobe customers worldwide improve productivity in the office and on the go. They include Adobe Authorized Training Centers and Adobe Certified Instructors.

I also invite you to use the Premier Pro user-to-user forum anytime you get stuck.  The product experts who use the software everyday  have a wealth of knowledge that some tutorials only gloss over.

Adobe’s Jason Levine has a three part series which is very helpful. You can find the videos on You Tube.
