CS6 -Design Standard Acrobat Pro Problem

HI: Adobe contacted me saying I had non-genuine Adobe products... So I contacted Adobe as I had bought my CS6 Design standard ages ago and they gave me a link to download Design Standard... BUT I got an alert saying that Adobe X Pro could not be installed properly. (My PS and IND installed fine) Now I no longer have Adobe Acrobat Pro. Tried it 2xs and failed.

I am using a MAC Pro  Safari OS X El Captain Version 10.11.6

From what I understand I may have to up grade my operating system to install Adobe X Pro properly is this correct?

1 of the reasons why I haven't updated my MAC OS is because I was afraid it would screw up my CS6. (not to mention my Wacom and my scanner but those questions are for other forums -sigh.)

So are there any known problems with CS6 and the latest MAC operating system???

Thanks in advance for any help!

-Diana

Acrobat X of all apps is most version sensitive. Your system is not too old, it is too new!

1st - Mac 64bit warning https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2619767

2nd - CS6 and earlier programs HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED AND WILL NOT BE UPDATED for Mac El Capitan or newer operating systems

-this includes other programs that are a similar age as CS6, such as Photoshop or Premiere Elements

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-this is about CS6 (which is from 2012) but it will probably apply to other programs of that age

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or newer operating systems

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required
