Error 201 at 10% of the way through creative cloud update

I have used Creative Cloud (Lightroom) for about a year. I've done updates before, successfully. Suddenly, when I try to update Creative Cloud, I get error 201, always at the same point: 10% into the upload. I tried to connect with Customer support, and their knee-jerk reaction was to tell me to unstall all the Adobe apps and data from my system and reinstall them. I won't do that. 

What is the fix for this? 201 says it's a network error, but there is nothing wrong with my network, for anyone else except Adobe.

PS: I have no firewalls or antivirus software running.
