I have also wasted 3 hours this morning trying to sort a chat with ADOBE without a result

    Make sure you're using your system administrator password NOT YOUR ADOBE PASSWORD because that isn't what you are being asked for.

    As Test ScreenName says, you‘re on a Mac being asked for your local admin username and password to give your macOS operating system permission to install your Adobe software.

    This is an Apple issue. Nothing to do with Adobe.
