I am trying to figure out how to get my Creative Suite 4, Design Premium on my new laptop. (Obviously no cd Drive). 90% of my work is volunteer work for various organizations, therefore I can't justify purchasing the cloud upgrades.

Help!

Older Creative Suite Downloads.  You'll need a valid serial number to activate it.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products

Find serial numbers on your Adobe Account.

What operating system?  If Windows 10, it may not install or run.

What Adobe applications do you use?  You might want to try the trial versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements and see if they fit your needs. They have a perpetual license, not a subscription.

kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2571370 to download program installers

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

    -Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause problems

Since you did not specify, some notes for both Mac and Windows

CS6 and earlier programs HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED AND WILL NOT BE UPDATED for Mac El Capitan or newer operating systems

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-this is about the 4+ year old CS6, but it will probably apply to other programs of that age

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or newer operating systems

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore

I am currently running CS 4 Design Premium on my PC. Windows 10. It does have a few quirks, but mainly runs ok for my needs.
