(Mac with Catalina) Nothing happens when I click on the installer file

I have downloaded the installer for Bridge and Illustrator. I've clicked on the download files and they have created Installer files which say "Double click icon to install". When I do this it flashes as if it's about to do something, but that's it. Nothing further happens. Any ideas?

Gadnet, where are you attempting to download the installation files for Bridge and Illustrator CC?  For an individual membership, we recommend you use the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/download-creative-cloud-apps.html and use the Creative Cloud desktop app to download and install Bridge and Illustrator.
