Question

Need advice on how to complete a job

I have a client that needs me to create a record of a long-running project. It involves experiments recorded on video.

Basically, it needs to have a title page and a means of navigating to the different short videos along with some slides to explain the parameters of each experiment.

I think a DVD would be too simple and clunky (the slides would not work well)

As a CC subscriber, I kind of assume this would be a simple enough thing to achieve.

However, so far I have tried the DVD route but Abobe doesn't support Encore any more and the program is a bit dated for an interactive project.

I've downloaded a demo of Captivate (which can create self-contained packages and load Powerpoint files) but it is so slow is unusable.

I'm hoping I'm missing a simple solution.

Any help appreciated!

I think you might be able to build something you would like in InDesign as well.

I do not know what to use for such a project, but I know that there is no simple solution.

The product that I would consider first (from Adobe) is Animate. Your description looks like an Animate job...

Thank you Abambo, I looked into Animate on your suggestion. It seems to be very fussy about frame rates and the length of videos or it presents playback issues.
