New Creative Cloud popup from Mac menu bar is awful

I have the Creative Cloud icon in my Mac menu bar. Previously, I could click on that to get to my installed apps or recent documents. Now this ridiculously huge window appears and it DOES NOT go away when I click away from it. This is really useless and annoying. The menubar item was supposed to be for convenience as a quick launcher, now I have to spend a few seconds every time I open it to find what I'm looking for in the mess of options, and I have to find recent items in Your Work because it doesn't default to recent items (or even give the option to show recent items). The first things I see there are things I worked on over a year ago because it's in alphabetical order!? And do I need to look at a giant hero graphic that's just a learn more button that I don't need, I can't minimize or close it, and it takes up half the space of the dialog? Finally when I try to close the window because it doesn't go away on it's own I type Command-R and get a warning that I'm going to quit the whole Creative Cloud process instead of just quitting the dumb window? The only way to close it is to click on the little red close button. I'm about to quit this altogether and get rid of the startup item.

Please, give us back the menubar-attached window!
