PSE 2018 Install on Case-Sensitive MacOS (High Sierra 10.13.6)
THE PROBLEM:
After not finding any warnings about the Mac-compatible Photoshop Elements 2018 on DVD, I just ran into a virtual brick wall of it *not* being compatible with my case-sensitive Mac. (There are no such warnings on the package, and it specifically lists Mac OS 10.13 as a "compatible" system.) Seeing as how this is the current version of the Mac OS and I've never before had reason to mistrust the list of compatible operating systems on a product package, I am discovering this serious limitation of the software (or perhaps just its installer) for the first time while needing this software very quickly. Additional monkey wrenches in the gears are the facts that I do not currently have the funds to buy yet another copy and also need the software to reside on my MacBook Pro, NOT in the cloud.
THE QUESTION:
Does anyone have any ideas on a workaround that 1) does not require a second purchase of the same software, 2) does not require a total reformatting of a perfectly good computer that already has many other apps happily installed, and 3) does not require me to use software that will only work when I am connected to the Internet?
