I think this new business modle is criminal. If someone wants to use your product have to purchase the product every year? Who's to say your company decides to play fair and keep it affordable or not? What is wrong with selling something to someone and then leaving them alone? Why do you insist on milking your customers forever? There is no cost effectiveness in always having to pay. I can never own one version outright? This is bad business. Very disapointed.

    >software I already purchased no longer works

If you are talking about CS6 and earlier, and you have upgraded your operating system (especially Mac to Catalina) the problem is operating system compatibility, not anything that Adobe did to make your programs stop working

Bottom line... old programs require and old, compatible operating system

Nobody is forcing you to buy from Adobe instead of a program from another company

For photo/video editing for a one time fee there is Elements http://www.adobe.com/products/elements-family.html

That's not the point. The software I already purchased no longer works! I feel like it was stolen.
