Unable to sync on Creative Cloud error message - but the file is deleted!

The other week I deleted a folder shortly after I created it and it is stuck trying to sync the deleted file. I've searched my computer and my creative cloud for the folder called exports (as did an Adobe contact over remote access) but it is gone and I have no solution.
It is bugging me popping up with the error message all the time.
Can anyone help me stop CC from trying to sync a file that doesn't exist!?
