Update specifics in CC app

I really don't like the new Creative Cloud app. It used to be so simple to see what was updated for each app. Now it just shows silly short messages for each app and provides no URL to click through to find details. Put that functionality back. I want to make decisions about updates. 

I turned auto-update off in preferences, and I'm still getting automatic updates too. 

Plus I don't want to open a giant Creative Cloud bloated app each time just to see updates. It takes ages to load and tells me less. Why can't we have the simple pop-up window view we had before. I see zero usefulness in this app.

How can I restore the simple, functional app and view I had before?
