Upgrading LR4.1 to LR4.4

I have LR4 which is sufficient for my purposes.  My old PC died and when I install 4.1 on my new computer it asks me if I would like to update to 4.4. However none of the links work.

Tech support sent me to http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/lightroom/win/4.x/Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_4_1.exe?red=a which does not work.  Nor is version 4 on the legacy download page at Download legacy versions of Creative Cloud apps

The technical support chat suggest I would get a better result asking this forum. So, any thoughts?

Thanks.  Case support updated with serial number. Neither edge nor chrome with cleared cookies worked, unfortunately.

Matrixbjj, I reviewed case ADB-8049320-K7N0 but I do not see any updates from you.

I would recommend you take the following steps:

  • Send me a private message with your serial number
  • Use a different computer, smartphone, or tablet to update support case ADB-8049320-K7N0 with your serial number

To send me a private message, please click on the View the Full discussion link in your e-mail notification, Matrixbjj.  You can then mouse over my name and select the message option.

A word of warning, please do not post your serial number to this public discussion forum also, only individuals who have the Staff badge work for Adobe.  If you are contacted by someone without the staff badge, or they contact you to offer support via Skype, then they are not an Adobe employee, and I would recommend you avoid providing any personal information.

Matrixbjj, I reviewed the account you used to post to this public discussion forum, and I did not find Lightroom 4, or any other Adobe software registered under your account.

To obtain the installation files for Lightroom 4, you will need to register your software and then contact our support team directly to request a download link.  You can use the process listed in Find your serial number to register your copy of Lightroom 4.

Once registered I would recommend you use the process listed in View Adobe Support cases to update your existing support case ADB-8049320-K7N0 that the software has been registered and you would like to receive a download link for Lightroom 4.

Hi Jeff - Thanks for your response. I have my serial number from the original product packaging and have tried several times to register my copy of lightroom 4.  Every time I enter the 24-digit code (either with or without the hyphens) I get the message "an error appeared while registering your product".  There is no link or additional explanation provided.

Any suggestions with respect to next steps would be much appreciated.

Matrixbjj, have you tried using an alternate web browser to complete the registration process?  If so, then also try clearing your cookies.  If the problem persists then please update support case ADB-8049320-K7N0 with your serial number.

I don't think you can download LR 4 any more. I haven't found it anywhere.
