watermark white outs the left side of the page

Hi All

When I add a stamp with water mark tool to the very right side of a sheet, this action white outs a quarter of the left side of the 24x26 sheet that I am trying to insert the watermark. After this even the watermark command is undone, the white out still remains. Has anyone experienced something like this? Any tips?
