Working occasionally off-line and unable to validate
I'm a photographer. I've used Creative Cloud since it started and I occationally have need to work on location where there's no internet connection.
I was recently faced with a situation where Photoshop refused to start becaue it could not verify my account, this was a real pain with my client stood next to me. I had switched on the software on my laptop the previous day to specifiaclly make sure I wouldn't have any issues and it worked just fine with no indication it was going to let me down.
I contacted Adobe support just now, and after a long winded conversation was recommended this solution...

It may be the case that some of the services may have not been validated so the best way to validate the subscription is to keep the applications and services running for 1 day and then use them offline for 30 days.

Leaving my location laptop on for a whole day, just so I can rely on Adobe when I might be without internet the next day seems like a crazy solution to me. I'm going to put a transcript of this conversation on the Adobe forum and see if anyone has an alternate view. Thanks for your time. |

This has never been a problem for me in the past.
It is a major pain to leave my laptop on for a whole day prior to every location job to try and avoid the issue repeating itself. I understood the software could be used off-line for 30 days from last validation.
Is there a better, less time consuming, way to force a validation?
Thanks in advance, Carl
