dreamweaver MX connection issues

dreamweaver has gone crazy on me!

i setup a dsn connection - test it - testing says "connection created successfully" - i've done this many many times with no issue.

now, for some reason, any of the sites i'm working on through dreamweaver the db connection will test fine - but when i go to do a recordset etc is gives this error

"unable to retreive tables from this connection, click on the 'define..." button to test this connection"

any clue what could be causing this???

interesting to find this topic....since I too am having this problem. I am unable to connect to my tables in my db. even if I pull up existing pages that are working fine, and try to pull up a recordset .... get error....
"unable to retreive tables from this connection, click on the 'define..." button to test this connection"
then I go to advanced in the create recordset window and get the error....

"error calling get tables; an unidentified error has occured".

has anyone seen this or know how to fix....please help.
