I have created a package using AAMEE tool for CS6. When I try to install the msi it fails and when I check the log file it complains about a Sonic driver. CS6 will install fine from the DVD's. Machine is running windows 8 pro.

Hi bbbruiser

So you cannot view the log file in Notepad or something similar  ? Are you looking at the PDapp.log file or the applicaiton log file ? How are you installing on the Windows 8 client are you deploying the Msi file or double clicking by right clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" ?

Any details you can give will help us diagnose what the issue is.

Cheers

Hi Karl,

I am looking the log file with notepad. The log file is the one that gets

created if you use the /l switch with the msi.

I am running the msi via command line using /i to install and /passive to

view progress. I have also tried it with the /quiet but get the same thing.

Even if I double click the file I get the same error.

I didn't try running the command as administrator (doh)

I have just tried running the command prompt as administrator then running

the msi file and seems to be installing now

Thank you for your assistance.

Cheers.
