Question

keyboard shortcut "make unconditional"

Out of curiosity, but also out of interest: I'm happy with esc, q, C and esc, q, D for specific conditions, but haven't found a similar shortcut to replace Alt+s, o, a, u for "make selected text unconditional".

Any hints or tips?

    Karen:

Do you happen to know if that List Shortcuts plugin is available for FM8?

The installation program does not yet know about FM8. The work-around is to:

    - Browse to the FrameMaker installation directory. By default, on a Windows computer this is:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe FrameMaker 8

    - In the maker.ini file, in the [APIClients] section, add the following line or copy it from your existing 7.2 installation:

    Pubs-Tools:ListShortcuts=Standard, ListShortcuts, Pubs-Tools\ListShortcuts.dll, all

    - Create a directory named Pubs-Tools

    - Copy ListShortcuts.dll, ListShortcuts.ini, and ListShortcuts.hlp into the Pubs-Tools directory.

Restart FrameMaker. You should now have a Pubs-Tools menu. Choose ListShortcuts

    Cheers & hope this helps,

Thanks, all -<br /><br />Arnis, I have a wall-poster entitled "Shortcuts from Arnis" but for some reason the eminently logical esq, q, U wasn't there. No idea why the document took that title, but I can be pretty sure it's not your fault if there's something I've failed to copy over <g><br /><br />Riley, thanks for the reminder; I'll do it pronto

    Niels, et al.

One of my favorite ways of unearthing new and even undocumented keyboard shortcuts is with Leximation's free List Shortcuts plugin:

Learn to use the following instead:
Ctrl+4 : add cond. tag to selection
Ctrl+5 : delete cond. tag from selection
    Ctrl+6 : Make selection unconditional

    Niels,

    Have you tried esc q U (for "U"nconditional)? ;-)

Also, another handy one is esc h C - select all text around the
current insertion point that has the same condition tag setting.
