What types of images can be used in illustration with the 3D tool? I have tried png but it's not letting me make my images. I can only add text from the illustrator program. TIA

What are you trying to do with the images? Adding them to a 3D object as a label?

You will have to vectorize the images first. This effect only works with vector artwork.
