Edit toolbar button missing

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to add some extra tools to the default toolbar in Illustrator CC 2018 (namely the smooth tool). From forum searching, people say I should be able to edit using the .. button at the bottom of the default toolbar. However, I don't have this... see attached.

Can anyone help?
