Question

Embedded Transparent Tiffs lose their margins

Recently I've noticed when using Illustrator 2024, and 2023, that when I embedd a transparent tiff, that the margins built into the tiff, are stripped away. In Illustrator 2021, it seems to work as it is supposed to.

Anybody experiencing the same issue?

The image I have include shows Illustrator 2021 on the left, with the embedded Tiff with built in margins of the tiff file, and the right images shows what happen when embedding the same tiff into Illustrator 2024.

There is a bug with embedded images.

But with your example I'm not sure. Can you tell us about the nature of those margins or maybe share that TIFF?

Thanks Monika for the response. It's good to know that it's a known bug. I found a workaround where I need to link the Tiff first and then embed it and it looks like it's working for now. Before I could straight place the graphic with no problems.
