Error When Uploading New Variable Library in Illustrator

Hi there,

I am currently trying to create a new template from an exisiting template. I updated the variable and objects to sync up with the XML map I'm trying to load in. When loading in the new variable library I get an error saying that "the incoming variable library is invalid". I don't know what's going on to be getting this error, as it's my first time creating a new template and having to update the variables and objects within it.

Please advise.
