Exporting to SVG from an Ai/PDF causes art to change

When I save from a standard vector format ai/pdf to svg, the conversion appears correct (see below)

But when reopening the SVG file, there are small gaps that appear in the artwork, causing registration issues.

What is causing this the happen? Is this related to svg passthrough precision?

How can I prevent this from happening again?

How large is that artwork?

Which number is applied in "Decimals"?

The artwork is small 44kb (needs to be small for our usage requirements)

Decimal points are set at 1
