font picking experience is hideous.
when I look for a typeface for a project, I typically go down the list and see something that grabs my attention, I wish to simply place it on the artboard next to all the other options and do the final filtration of all the options when I'm done browsing through all my assets.
this process has been made hell lately. every time I pick a font, the list collapses (despite me not being done with it) and the option I selected jumps ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE LIST.
my only option for browsing through my font catalogue is scrolling back all the way down to the approximate point where the list collapsed and finding the last option so I could continue on from there.
I mean, we are designers, we deal with UX on a regular basis and I don't understand why we aren't given a decent experience when it comes to our tools. I have no other word to describe it other than hideous. I pray for the happy day I would be able to leave behind the Adobe chapter of my life and switch to better community-managed oper-source alternatives. but until then, PLEASE make that massive monthly bill you charge me a slightly bit more worthy.
