Glitches in Illustrator 2020

Hi.

I was working on a file in Illustrator with 1 artboard and about 25 rectangles where I was creating templates.

Suddenly I began to see these glitches and illustrator started lagging.

I don't understand why this app has a lot of issues.

PS: I have a lot of space in my C drive (25gb) and D drive (40 something)

I previously had issues with illustrator before and have already reset my preferences.

I wasn't running a large number of illustrator files at a time

I'm including a picture. Even if you don't have the solution if you know what these glitches are or what causes them kindly let me know.

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. As suggested by Ton, this seems to be a GPU or GPU driver-related problem. I'm assuming you are using a Windows computer. If yes, kindly try performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-110) and checking if it helps.

If you have a Mac, kindly try installing all OS updates (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541) and then relaunching Illustrator to check if it helps.
