Having recently switched from CS6 to the cloud- I'm unable to use the VAG font. Several older projects of mine use VAG! Yikes! Can you help me solve this problem? A gazillion thanks!

Thanks! I'd happily buy new fonts. I wasn't aware of that option.
So - buy non-otf font versions? Sorry I'm so unclear on this font stuff! can you tell me where I could buy that?

You should buy OTF versions of the fonts.

A quick search showed the VAG rounded on Myfonts and on Fontshop.

Is that a PostScript Type 1 font? Tey are no longer supported.

Monica, thanks for your reply. But - is it possible to help me understand this? What is a postscript font - and how are people working around this? Surely there have to be MOBS of eople who use them.

And most of all - WHY would Adobe do this?

Does Canva support them? Again, thanks!

There is an FAQ here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/postscript-type-1-fonts-end-of-support.html#:~:text=As%20announced%20in%20January%202021,fonts%20in%20updated%20Adobe%20products.

This does not come as a surprise. OTF fonts have been here for around 20 years. PostScript Type 1 is an old technology that has been causing a lot of issues.

The easiest way around wopuld be to install a version back as long as this is still possible and then keep it as long as your operating system allows.
