i can save an original file but i get this when i try to edit the file

i work on package design. i created and saved onto the company server. when i need to edit it this pops up when i try to save it. does anyone know why this happens how do i get the permissions?

What version of Illustrator and OS version are you using?

The server may have ahold of the file, permissions, server software, backup settings. Does this happens on all computers in all versions of Illustrator, then you need to let your server manager know.
