I've had the exact same font on both Mac and PC, but the difference (especially between the spacing) was obvious. It's rare, but it's possible. THE best option would be to work on a file on a single system or, if this isn't possible, for example for a team job, to decide which system would be the main one and finalize the job on that system when all the entries have been made.

yes, i'm using same file in both Pc and Windows but having difference in characters height kindly help?

If the same open type font file is installed both Mac and PC systems it should behave identically. I don't understand why there would be any size differences between the two installations. If the same font file is being used on both computing platforms it should work identically.

Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX have a number of system fonts which have the same name, such as Arial. The version of Arial that comes bundled with Mac OSX is not the same as the one included in the Windows operating system. They're different font files.
