Illustrator clipping masks

Hello,

I would like to know how the shadows and lights were done in this.

I've tried to inspect it but was clipping masks inside clipping masks.

Please see attached.

You should be able to find this kind of artworks on Adobe Stock for free. THose are AI files that you can then inspect.

Difficult to find out, the file was saved without Illustrator edting capabilities, so you are left with the PDF part with clipping masks and blending modes.

I didn't know about the editing capabilities. I always thought you could edit in PDF. Which now makes sense.

You can edit a PDF, but it may not have the same structure or objects that were used to create it in Illustrator.
