Hi @jeffhalmos,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing flickering when your M1 Mac mini wakes from sleep.

We appreciate your patience while our team investigates this issue. Please keep in mind that Illustrator is a complex program that utilizes a variety of system resources, and we are constantly working to improve its performance and stability.

Also, I agree with Monika. I have been using Mac from my school time, and this usually happens when connected with third-party monitors. Doesn't happen as much or not at all when connected to Apple-certified displays or on Macbook screens. I have seen this behavior with my M1 Max connected to Samsung external monitor, and other apps like Slack & teams start flickering, and it starts & stops randomly.

I will check with the team to see if we can improve this experience from our side.

Would you mind sharing a few details like:

  • Monitor make & model
  • macOS & Ai exact version
  • Display color profile

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Anshul Saini

I'm always happy when my Macs wake up from sleep at all. Mac OS has been having issues with sleeping for years. And this has nothing whatsoever to do with Illustrator. These things are so prissy about adaptors it's unbelievable.
