The title says it. What is happening? Photoshop also has zooming issues. Something broke in the engine of both Photoshop and Illustrator in the newest versions.

The system:

Win 10, all latest updates and drivers,

AMD 7950x

RTX 3090

Hello @olegk90114045,

We understand how frustrating it can be to experience crashes. Would you mind trying a clean reinstall of the NVIDIA GPU drivers (https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/57037) and checking if it helps?
If not, please follow the steps in this help article (
https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/fix-crash-on-launch-issues.html) and let us know your observations. Also, kindly share the crash report using the steps in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/crash-next-steps.html) and use the same email account as your community account for quick tracking. We appreciate your time and efforts in resolving this issue

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

It is not crash on launch, it is crash on zoom/pan. It is a strange one too: all artboards go black, I can still select elements, but they remain in wireframe mode and are only visible when I hover over them.

The video drivers are the latest and were installed cleanly (with the removal of the old driver). Also, this issue persisted through many driver updates over the year. Something is broken in the engine or there was a new default setting introduced in v27. If it's the setting, I struggle to pinpoint it. Do you want me to send you the file that crashes in v27 to replicate the issue? Warning - the file is 76 MB and has a ton of links.

Hello @olegk90114045,

Thanks for confirming that. Would you mind checking if Illustrator only behaves this way with particular files? If yes, kindly share a sample file (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/share-your-files-in-6-simple-steps/td-p/12967531) and a screen recording of the problem (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/screen-record-an-issue-on-windows-amp-macos-for-sharing/td-p/12967727), so we can check it on our end.

Looking forward to your response.

Is that a gaming or a studio driver for your graphic card? Can you install the studio driver?
