It's February 2022. I'm running Illustrator 26.0.3 and it's STILL crashing!

EVERY time I press CTRL-C Illustrator stops working. Every time, without exception.

Thought Adobe fixed the crashing. I have recently uninstalled and reinstalled CC. Didn't change a thing. I have plenty of RAM, running on WIN 10.

So frustrating. Thought it might be due to the fact that I had my document saved in the cloud, so I saved it locally. Didn't solve the problem.

Grr.

Sorry to hear about the problem. Hope you aren't facing the problem anymore. If you are, please provide addtional details like:

Since when are you facing this problem?
Crash report for Illustrator
While submitting the crash, report please use the same email address, with which you are signed in on this community. This will help us find the crash report and help accordingly.
Event Viewer logs
Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog, enter eventvwr (or eventvwr.msc) and hit OK.

Go to Windows Logs > Application and check if you see any error related to Illustrator

Additionaly, try resetting the preferences for Illustrator and share your observations with us.
Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

I am also struggling with the same issue, it has never happened with the version before 2020, not at this ridiculous frequency anyway, it seems the ai nowadays just cannot handle anything, I was trying to save an output file with images embedded for printing, I have already lower the size of all images down to a point where I need them to be, all the images involve in the file was about 4x mbs max.

For those who don't even consider these crashes to be a real issue, those who would only ask us to update update and update to the latest version, please don't, just DON'T. It happens with 2022 ver, crashed, tried to down grade it to 2021, crashed. Got so frustrated and send the file to my friend who got a freaking M1 macbook pro (and not the base model btw) with 2022 ai, STILL crashed, then she tried her old iMac which still got CS6 ai on it, few mins later, boom, DONE. And you know what, the file size of the output file at the end is 10.7mb, it's not even big.
