Images show transparency, but Illustrator vector files have a white background, but SVG vectors show transparency.

What file format is that asset you are referring to? The white background needs to be removed manually. If your asset is a raster file, you may need to remove the white background in Photoshop or Adobe Express and save it as a file format that supports transparency, such as png. If it's a vector file, you can probably double click on the Library tile to open it in Illustrator, and use the Direct Selection tool to select the white areas and delete.
