Previewing Issue

Hi,

I had been using Illustrator on an old account that run out. I downloaded it again after buying it on an a European website (not sure if this is linked to the issue but thought I'd say in case).

When I'm trying to open files I had previously edited in Illustrator, after a moment, I get a pop-up saying "can't finish previewing. Couldn't complete the requested Operation."

When I press ok, the file turns black and white and is unusable. I looked this up and saw somewhere you can press FN (function) +E, but this hasn't worked for me. Could anyone help? Images attached.

That is the outline view.

Wondering where you nought your version? Perhaps you can elaborate?

Can you tell us about your hardware? How much RAM is available?

And how large is the file? What is in it, placed images, transparency? ...

Hi,

The files are around 200mb. I have plenty of RAM (16GB) and have edited these files before with no issues. I bought it from a website called Software Digitali and it means when i log into Creative cloud i log in through a company account called Software Biz. I have a friend who did the same with photoshop and it works fine, but am aware this could relate to the issue.

I believe it is both placed images and transparency in the file. I had a designer make it, I only change the text so am not 100% sure

I think it's unlikely to cause this particular issue, but these companies are illegally reselling teams/enterprise account seats. Buying Adobe apps like this risks your account being randomly deactivated when/if Adobe checks.
