Recent files on startup page

Recent files are no longer showing up on the startup page, but instead I have a big notice "You have no cloud documents". Well, yes, I know I have no cloud documents - don't use them, won't use them. I would really like to be able to get the app to show my recent files again. Sure I can go therough recent files in the File menu, but I should be able to have them there to open on the startup page. Is there a solution, or is this another case of Adobe charginging for things people don't want (and yes, if you use cloud docs, then great, but there should be an option for those of us who don't/can't).

Hey,

Does that happen even when you go to preferences and check the Show the homescreen when no documents are open box?

Hello @Jahnu_AU,

Thanks for reaching out. I hope the suggestions shared by Simmer1 helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly check if clicking on the Home option from the left pane shows your recent list, and if yes, try to relaunch Illustrator to check if it stays on that view.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hi there,

Sorry about not getting back sooner. That was actually already checked, but it was still blank. However, on reopening it seems to be working again now. Go figure - got to love tech some days. Might have to see what updates just happened over the last few days to work out why. Thanks for the replies, guys.
