Script request for measuring the distance between two selected object's bounding boxes

Hi community,

I was wondering if any of you know of any script that will allow me to measure the distances between the bounding boxes of two selected objects. It seems that Illustrator doesn't have such a built-in functionality yet.

Ideally, I'm looking for something that would measure the distance in the unit selected document-wide, with at least 2 decimals, and once ran, copy the distance automatically to the clipboard.

Hoping someone can help me out. As always, thank you all for being so cool around here!

Thank you very much for your help, @Kurt Gold. Unfortunately, it seems that this particular script has gone premium with only a 30-day trial, and it's a bit of an overkill for my limited use case.

I have, however, found this useful script via Github that does what I'm looking for very nicely and simply.

The marvellous script Dimensions Illustrator, provided by William Campbell, can do it (and many other things).
