Hello, totally new to this illustrator.

I explain it to you with a short video.

I would like to know if it is possible and how to do an action like the Photoshop one that appears in the video but with vectorized text in Illustrator.

I thank you for your help and patience.

Greetings.

You could outline the text (Type > Outline text)

Then apply no fill (there is a swatch for that) and a stroke that is aligned to the inside

https://youtu.be/L387EFnNpd8 (sorry for German interface. The commands are in the same places in other languages . that panel across the screen is Window > Control)

This is also possible without outlining the text - just incase you want to preserve the option to edit it. If you need that, please do just tell us. What is in that video, is ugly. If you tell us what you want to do with it, we can tell you how to make it good looking. It will look better, when you align the stroke to the outside.

Hi Monika, thanks for your help and fast reply.
That has help me to understand bit more.

In the design I am working on, it is not helpful to me since due to the font style, the stroke does not look good and the font does not retain its appearance.

I would be very grateful if you could explain to me the other option that you have told me about.

Thnaks again for your help and patience.

Could you perhaps show what you want to apply it to?

Just crate something similar if you do not want to show the real thing.
