Selection Awareness Function (selected Objects will be handled preferential)
I'm not aware of such function, maybe there is one but, I've always wondering why selected text boxes, are not handled preferential. Similiar to a group when you double-click on it, and you're able to adjust the elements in the group without interferring with objects outside the group.
For example: You have a couple of interfering text boxes and you want to change the content of one of them. What can happen right now is: you select the box; click into it; you're in the edition mode of the box (blinking text cursor appears); you try to select a bigger text part by dragging the mouse and you switch to another text box all of a sudden. This can happen pretty easily. I know that object on top will be handled preferential, but this does not always work that well. I think you should be able to adjust texts inside a text box more freely, similar to the freedom you have while in a group.
This could also be applied to shapes - for example, working on a selected shape with a contour while using the scissors. The selected shape will always have the priority. Like I said, the »Object on top priority« does not always do the trick + it can be impractical to bring the object to the top to make 1 or 2 cuts with the scissors.
Hope you understand my gibberish.
