Text does not snap in Illustrator.

It is impossible to work with sentences with a click, but It works fine for textboxes.

Is it possible to work only with the box instead of working with the original sentence?

This is an old, old limitation. AI uses the Em box and other info derived from it for sanpping editable line text. You would have to convert it to outlines if you want to snap the actual contours.

i really, REALLY, REALLY wish illustrator's textBoxes would simply just fit the visible text and behave just like any other rectangle. live text is a friggin nightmare for positioning and scaling (in js) because of these stupid bounding boxes.
