Text positioning- NOT to do with text "align"

Adobe illustrator: As you can see the first paragraph is all aligned to the left (red). The latter text however creates a gap after the first line (blue). I want to get rid of these gaps.

Doing anything with Text "Align" does not help the situation. I can't use "backspace," the Eyedropper tool does not coppy the prvious format. How can I get the text to get rid of the gap? Thank you anyone who can help!
