KAYSEEA,

For a logo, the best way will be to recreate everything as vector artwork from the beginning.

You can:

1) Place the raster image of the logoand lock it,

2) Recreate it with the relevant Tools depending on the shape(s) of the (different parts of the) logo, which can be the Pen Tool and the tools in the Rectangle group, and others;

3) Colour the (different parts of the) logo, which can be done freely evertything is vector artwork which can have Stroke and Fill; the colouring can be transitions between different colours;

4) Scale the logo to a suitable size; you can use the Transform panel;

5) Position the first logo and create copies; you can use the Transform panel or the Transform effect.

You can search for tools, panels, and other things, here,

https://helpx.adobe.com/search-results.html?q=&scope=%5B%22helpx%22%5D&subscope=%5B%5D&limit=10&start_index=0&sort_orderby=relevancy&sort_order=desc&post_facet_filters=%7B%22applicable_products%22%3A%5B%5D%7D

It will help the helpers if you can post an image of the logo, please use the Insert Photos button in the Reply box (picture of moon over mountains).

Edit: Hi Susan, I was a bit delayed, and you were faster than I.

"vectorizing" is not really a thing that can necessarily be automated. There is no converting of rasters to vectors. Any process for doing this requires re-drawing the art with vector tools. Depending on the nature of the art being redone, Image Trace can give acceptable results, but for a logo, it seems likely that the text portions would have to be reset, and the graphic portions redrawn by hand using Illustrator's drawing tools.

Once the logo has been re-created, the rest will be relatively easy.
